Your doctor. Your lawyer. Your mechanic (if you're lucky enough to know one). When we need them, these are the people we come to depend on. And for the most part, we don't "mind" paying for their services (except maybe for some lawyers - I mean, it's crazy what they charge!).
But in exchange for paying them, don't we deserve a competent professional? And more importantly, do we not deserve someone we can trust? Someone who always has our best interests at heart.
Is that asking too much? It shouldn't be! And yet, experience shows that we're often disappointed and left with a feeling of being "taken". We have to roll the dice, hope and pray that our chosen professional will do their very best for us. That really bothers me.
